How Do You Replace the Belt on a Hoover Turbo Cyclonic

Save

The Hoover Turbo Cyclonic is an upright bag-less vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filtration system. It has a floor setting that ranges from bare floor to heavy carpet. The brush roll on the underside of the vacuum connects to a belt and roller that is powered by the motor. If the belt breaks or wears out, the brush roll will not properly rotate. Replace the belt to keep the Hoover Turbo Cyclonic vacuum cleaner working properly.

Things You'll Need

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Step on the handle release lever at the base of the vacuum cleaner. Lower the handle to the floor.

  • Turn the unit over. Remove the three screws on the bottom of the base cover.

  • Turn the unit right side up. Pull the base cover up to remove it.

  • Lift the brush roll out of the base. Slide the old belt off of the roll.

  • Position the new belt around the motor shaft. Insert the brush roll into the other end of the belt. Position the belt within the groove on the brush roll.

  • Pull and slide the brush roll into the base assembly. Rotate the brush roll by hand to make sure the belt is aligned properly.

  • Replace the base cover. Turn the vacuum cleaner over. Install the three screws that hold the base cover in place.
