Tying a perfect Tiffany's bow doesn't have to be the hardest part about gift giving.

The hardest part about gift wrapping is never the paper; it's the ribbon bow on top. If you are not a fan of the sticky bows you buy at the store, creating your own perfect bow is simple. Tiffany made the Tiffany's bow style popular with its simple but perfectly styled turquoise boxes. The Tiffany's bow is often seen as the "perfect bow" that can look great on all presents and packages. Don't stress over the holidays or birthdays anymore. Save money and retie your Tiffany's bow right at home.

Step 1

Hold gift box vertically (short sides on the top and bottom). If the box is square, it doesn't matter because all sides are even.

Step 2

Lay the ribbon across the center of the box. Hold the center with your thumb. Make sure to leave a box length of ribbon at the bottom of the box.

Step 3

Wrap the ribbon around the box once with the "working end" of the ribbon. Wrap until you reach your thumb placed in the center of the box.

Step 4

Fold back the top ribbon so it's at a 45-degree angle. Wrap ribbon around the side and bottom of the box, bringing it back to the top center.

Step 5

Pull ribbon over the top two layers already wrapped around the box. Tuck top piece under both ribbons, starting at the bottom left corner then coming out the top right corner.

Step 6

Tighten both ends and make sure the ribbon is centered in the middle of the box.

Step 7

Make a loop with the longer end of the ribbon.

Step 8

Wrap the short end around the loop and push through the opening to create a second loop. It is just like tying a bow on your shoes.

Step 9

Tighten and adjust the bow so both loops are proportionate to each other. Clip the ribbon ends at a diagonal. Make sure they do not extend longer than the edge of the box.
