How to Import an iCal Calendar to an iPhone

Apple makes it easy for you to stay organized and keep your data up-to-date across multiple computers and devices. ICal comes standard on all Mac computers and is fully compatible with the iPhone's Calendar application. Import calendars from iCal to the iPhone to manage your schedule when you are away from your Mac. Use the iTunes sync function to add an iCal calendar to your iPhone.

  • Connect the iPhone to your Mac with the iPhone's USB cable. By default, iTunes tries to automatically sync with the iPhone. Activate the "Cancel" prompt on the iPhone touch screen to cancel the sync.

  • Select the iPhone from the "Devices" section of the iTunes sidebar. The iPhone's Summary pane loads.

  • Click the "Info" tab at the top page of the to open the Info pane.

  • Check the box next to "Sync iCal Calendars."

  • Choose the "Selected Calendars" option, then check the box next to the iCal calendar you want to import.

  • Click the "Apply" button to sync the information to the iPhone.
