How to Install the Body Control Module for a 2000 Firebird

The body control module for the 2000 Pontiac Firebird, which is under the dashboard on the passenger side of the vehicle, is responsible for several components, including the radio, power windows and power door locks. If electrical body parts such as these malfunction, the problems might be in the body control module.

Instructions

1. Reach up under the dash and locate the plastic box that contains the body control module. Unfasten the box with your fingers.

2. Pull the circuit board out of the box with even, firm pressure. Take note of how the circuit board came out.

3. Position the new circuit board in front of the plastic module, ensuring that it is oriented properly. Push the new circuit board into place, ensuring that it is all the way in. Snap the plastic box closed.
