How to Access Security DVR With a BlackBerry

Viewing your security DVR system remotely on your BlackBerry is possible if your DVR system allows access via the Internet. Internet-enabled security DVR systems allow users to record video and images from attached cameras to a backup DVR, which can then be accessed over the Internet. Typically, the DVR uses a specific IP address which displays the images and video over the Internet. To access the security DVR video and images on your BlackBerry device, type the IP address of the DVR into the BlackBerry browser.

Instructions

1. Scroll through the list of applications on the home screen of your BlackBerry device and select the "Browser" icon.

2. Type the IP address of the DVR in the address bar of the browser.

3. Press the "Enter" key or select "Go." The cameras connected to your DVR will be displayed on the screen. If applicable, use the controls on the screen to switch between each camera.
