How to Wire a Fujitsu Ten Radio

The Fujitsu Ten is a radio that comes pre-installed in a number of cars, including the Toyota Camry. It included an AM/FM receiver and a cassette player. In some instances, such as to repair or replace the head unit, it can be necessary to remove the radio from the car. Wiring the radio back into the car requires connecting the wiring to the matching ports. You should disconnect the vehicle battery before adjusting the wiring to avoid the risk of electric shock.

  • Connect the wiring harness, which contains the power, ground and speaker wiring, from the dashboard housing to the matching port located on the right-hand side of the back of the radio. Ensure that the connection clicks into place.

  • Plug the radio antenna cable (the thick, black cable coming out of the dashboard portal) into the matching port on the left-hand side of the back of the radio.

  • Feed the wiring of the radio into the dashboard portal, followed by the radio. Take care not to trap any of the wiring.

  • Reconnect the battery. Turn on the radio. Enter the radio unlock code. This is found on a small credit card-size document in the vehicle's paperwork. if you cannot find it, contact your local vehicle dealer. The radio is now ready for use.
