Ceramic sinks are attractive, but they also require special care. You cannot clean and polish a ceramic sink with just any type of cleanser. Some cleansers are too abrasive and harsh for ceramic, and they can scratch or damage the surface of the sink. However, you can clean and polish your ceramic sinks by using a homemade soft scrub that contains cleaning materials that are powerful enough to clean and polish the ceramic but gentle enough to prevent the ceramic from becoming scratched.
Things You'll Need
- Baking soda
- Liquid soap
- Essential oil
- Soft washcloth
Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda into a bowl.
Squeeze 1/4 cup of liquid soap into the baking soda. Mix well.
Add 5 drops of essential oil. Select an oil that smells fresh, such as lavender or lemon. Mix well.
Wet a washcloth with water, and place 1 tablespoon of the the homemade soft scrub onto the cloth.
Rub the soft scrub around the ceramic sink using small, circular motions for two minutes.
Rinse the scrubbed area with water.
Repeat the entire process over the entire ceramic sink until it is clean.
