How to Paint a Stool Orange

Things You'll Need
- 220-grit sandpaper
- Concentrated cleaner
- Rag
- Plastic container
- Orange paint
- Large paintbrush

Rub 220-grit sandpaper lightly across the surface of the stool, just hard enough to remove any rough areas from the wood.

Pour a small amount of a concentrated cleaning solution onto a rag and rub it across all areas of the stool to remove any dust or dirt.

Pour some orange paint into a container.

Dip a paintbrush into the orange paint, allow any excess paint to drip off the brush and move it to the surface of the stool. Start with the stool in an upside down position and paint the underside and legs.

Wait for the paint to dry completely.

Turn the stool over into an upright position and paint across the top and sides of the seat area.

Wait for the paint to dry completely and repeat this process for a second coat to ensure a solid, smooth finish.

Tips & Warnings
Fill any nicks or other imperfections with wood filler and allow it to dry before painting, to ensure a smooth and even surface.
You can lay a drop cloth under the stool to protect the floor.
