How to Make Paper Grapes

Emulate the curve of the grapes by forming circles using construction paper.

Like most fruits, grapes are recognizable and are often depicted in art forms. You can make grapes out of paper for a child's art project, for something to hang on the wall or as an item to bring color to your house. Add construction-paper green leaves and coiled pipe cleaners for vines to add more depth to your grapes. Using a method called quilling, making paper grapes can be simple -- requiring only a few items.

Things You'll Need

• Purple construction paper
• Scissors
• Ruler
• Pencil
• Chopstick
• Round knitting tool
• White glue

Instructions

Concise Circles

1. Cut your construction paper into strips that are the same size and width. If you want large grapes, measure out a wider strip and if you want smaller grapes, measure out a narrower strip.

2. Hold a pencil and wrap your construction paper around it tightly. Wrap the paper around itself, so that it forms a circle. If you want a smaller wraparound, use a knitting hook or chopstick.

3. Glue the end of the paper to itself.

4. Slide the construction paper off the object you were using when the glue is dry.

Loose Circles

1. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 in the previous section.

2. Hold the end of the construction paper to itself and slowly slide it off the object you were using.

3. Place this circle onto a flat surface so that it lays flat.

4. Release the end of the construction paper so that it expands a bit.

5. Glue the end of the construction paper to itself after you've let it expand.
