How to Disable the Fuel System on an F-150
There are a number of different reasons you may need to disable your Ford F-150's fuel system, including routine fuel system maintenance, such as replacing a fuel pump or if you believe your vehicle may have a fuel leak. Some vehicle owners disable the fuel system as a form of theft deterrent if they do not expect to drive the vehicle for a long period of time. Virtually all vehicles come with a way to electronically disable the fuel system so that you do not have to physically remove or risk damaging any actual components of the system. The simplest way to disable the fuel system on most Ford F-150s is by removing the fuse that controls the fuel pump.
