A Craftsman table saw is equipped with an important safety feature designed to prevent unauthorized use by children or others who are untrained on using a table saw. The On-Off switch has a removable key. Until you insert this yellow plastic switch key into the red plastic switch lever, you cannot turn on the saw. Once you have located the key and inserted it into the switch lever, powering up your Craftsman table saw is fairly straightforward.
Things You'll Need
- Switch key (part #9-22255)
Hold the switch lever down and insert the yellow plastic switch key into the circular indentation in the center of the switch.
Plug in the saw.
Lift the switch lever into the "On" position. Start your Craftsman table saw.
Tips & Warnings
- After you finish working, shut off the saw and unplug it. Hold the switch lever in place with one hand and pull out the switch key with the other. Store the key in a safe place.
