1
Take an online web language course to learn a web language. Many community colleges offer online web design and web language courses. You receive step-by-step instruction on how to apply web languages to web sites. An instructor guides you through the lessons and will answer any of your questions.

2
Learn web languages independently with web language books. Many reference books offer in depth explanation and training in web languages. A beginning level book about JavaScript explains and describes the various JavaScript terminology and applications. Books that teach HTML show you different HTML code and teach you how the codes create web pages. Learning web languages from a book requires more discipline than a class. You must be motivated to teach yourself the language rather than relying on a teacher.

3
Experiment with a web design software program. Web design software programs use web languages to build web sites. Using one of these programs allows you to experiment with HTML and CSS without an in depth knowledge of these languages. While building your website, use the design and code view. This allows you to see the coding as you are designing the site. This method of learning web language helps to learn HTML and a little CSS. These software programs will not be much help with JavaScript or PHP.
