How to Submit a Press Release to the Hartford Courant
The Hartford Courant is the largest daily newspaper in Connecticut. As such, it serves as a valuable medium for dispersing the information that is contained within your press release to those within the greater Hartford metropolitan area and throughout the state. The Courant looks to review and edit press releases within one business day and post the information as soon as possible once approved.

1
Ensure your press release is 500 words or fewer, cutting if necessary. The Hartford Courant requests that submitted press releases be of that length or shorter.
-
2
Access the Hartford Courant's website and navigate to the Submission Form page. This may be done by scrolling to the bottom of the homepage and clicking on the "Contact Us" link located at the bottom of the page. From there, click on "this form" under the News subhead and then access the form linked to in the third bullet form for press releases.

Tips & Warnings
Press releases from individuals, nonprofit organizations, clubs, schools, government agencies, churches and business associations such as chambers of commerce are accepted. Business submitting releases about personnel appointments, expansion plans or other nonpromotional activities are welcome, but items deemed too commercial may not be published.
Be sure to include your organization's contact information -- email address and telephone number -- when you submit the release.
If your press release is specific to a town in Connecticut, you should submit your item to iTowns. A link to do so is available on the same Web page you would use to send press releases.
