How to Get a Radio Card in "Pokemon Crystal"

The Radio Card is a key item introduced in "Pokemon Gold," "Silver" and "Crystal." It is an upgrade to the PokeGear, and allows the trainer to tune in to various programs broadcast from the Radio Tower in Goldenrod City by moving a slider across a number line. Channels ranging from 0 to 20.5 correspond to specific programs. For example, channel 7.5 will play "DJ Ben's Pokemon Music." The radio screen on the PokeGear displays the program's name and receives the transmission through the dialog box.

  • Enter the Radio Tower in the westernmost part of Goldenrod City. Talk to the third lady behind the counter and agree to take to the Pokemon Quiz.

  • Answer "yes" to the following questions: "Can the town map be displayed on the PokeGear?," "Can Nidorina be female only?" and "Magikarp won't learn any TM move?"

  • Answer "no" to the following questions: "Does Kurt the Poke Ball craftsman use Aprikorn?" and "Prof. Oak's Pokemon Talk is a very popular program. Is Marie the co-host of the show?" The lady will hand you a Radio Card.
