Kenmore Oasis Washer Troubleshooting

The Oasis brand of washing machines falls into the Kenmore Elite line. The available features and functions of each model vary. The primary functions of each Oasis washer are the same. When trouble occurs, diagnosing the potential causes of the issue is the first step to resolving it. Work your way through Kenmore's recommended troubleshooting steps to isolate the source of a problem and, in many cases, to provide a solution.

  • Press the "STOP" button if the "LF" code appears on the display. This code indicates the washer is taking too long to fill. Inspect the water inlet hoses for kinks or clogs. Press the "START" button to continue the cycle.

  • Press the "STOP" button if "Ld" appears on the display. This code means the washer is taking too long to drain water from the tub. Inspect the drain hose to clear any clogs or straighten any kinks. Press "START" to continue.

  • Open the lid if "uL" appears flashing on the display. This code means there is an unbalanced load. Redistribute the load and close the lid. Press "START" to continue.

  • Close the lid if "lid" appears on the display. This message indicates the lid is not fully closed. The cycle continues automatically after the lid is closed.

  • Adjust the feet if the washer is off balance. Each foot must fully contact the floor. Twist a foot clockwise to shorten it or counterclockwise to lengthen it.

  • Tighten both ends of each water inlet hose if water is leaking during a wash cycle. Make sure the drain hose is secured to a drainpipe.
