Instructions

    • 1

Draw a circle on a paper plate or piece of cardboard with a pen or pencil. Make the circle large enough for the size of bow bouquet you want to carry.

    • 2

Cut a small X in the middle of the circular paper plate or cardboard. Make the X large enough for the varying ribbon lengths to pass through and for as many ribbons as you wish to use --- about one inch should suffice.

    • 3

Fold the ribbons in half and make a knot at the midpoint. You should have a loop of ribbon above the knot and hanging ribbon tails below the knot.

    • 4

Thread the ribbon tails through the X in the paper plate or cardboard so that the knots rest on top of the plate or cardboard. The ribbon loops should be on one side of the circle, forming a bouquet, and the ribbon tails should hang on the other side for the handle.

    • 5

Wrap a ribbon around the other ribbon tails to form a handle for your bouquet and secure with double-sided tape or a pin. According to the Martha Steward Weddings website, the handle should be about four inches long.

    • 6

Trim the ribbon tails at varying lengths and angle or notch them, depending on your preference.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the same colors in your bow bouquet that you are using in your flower bouquet. Or, use the theme colors of your wedding in the bow bouquet. Also, use varying widths of ribbon to make the bow bouquet more full.
