How to Install a Java Bypass Admin Start

Java software does not come preloaded with the Windows operating system. Because of this, you must download the Java software from Java's website and install it. If you do not yet have Java installed, Windows may not let you do so if you do not have administrative privileges. Bypass this restriction by using the built-in Run As Administrator feature.

Instructions

1. Open your preferred browser, and navigate to the Java website (see Resources). Click the "Agree and Start Free Download" button to obtain the Java software. Save the "jxpiinstall.exe" file to your desktop or an easily accessible location on your hard drive.

2. Right-click the "jxpiinstall.exe" file and select "Run As Administrator" from the menu.

3. Click "Next" to download the installation files and begin the installation. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

4. Click "Close" when the installation is complete. Launch your Web browser and visit the Java test page (see Resources) to confirm the installation.
