How to Calibrate an FX-150 Gram Scale

A Gram Precision FX-150 is a digital pocket scale. The small scale has the ability to weight and measure items weighing up to 150 grams. It is commonly used by jewelers who weigh jewelry, stones and gems. The scale should be routinely calibrated to ensure it is measuring and weighing correctly.

Things You'll Need

• 150 g calibration weight

Instructions

1. Ensure the scale is empty.

2. Press the "On" button to turn the FX-150 scale on.

3. Hold down the "CAL" button. Release the button once the display screen says "CAL."

4. Place a 150 g calibration weight on the scale. If you do not have a calibration weight handy, 30 nickels weigh 150 g.

5. Remove the calibration weight once the display screen says "Pass." Once the weight is removed, the display screen will show "0.0" indicating it is ready to be used.
