How to Replace the Rear Window Release Relay on a 1992 Chevy S-10 Blazer

The rear window release relay on your 1992 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer is located in the vehicle's fuse box. The rear windows will not function properly without a working relay, so you need to replace the relay as soon as it begins to malfunction. The relay for the rear windows is the same relay used for all of the windows. It is labeled "Acc/Ign" and requires a 30A relay. Anything other than a 30A relay may damage your Blazer's electrical system.

Instructions

    • 1

Park your Blazer and turn off the engine. Remove the key from the ignition.

    • 2

Open the hood and locate the fuse box, directly behind the battery.

    • 3

Remove the cover from the fuse box and find the relay labeled "Acc/Ign."

    • 4

Remove the relay and replace it with a new relay.

    • 5

Reattach the cover to the fuse box and close the hood.
