How to Convert Movies to DVD Format

VOB is a format file on your DVD movies.

The video format VOB is a DVD format. Movie formats such as AVI or MP4 must be converted into the VOB format if you wish to burn a movie to a DVD. Use free conversion software or a website converter to perform this task.

Instructions

1. Download and install Xilisoft (see "Resources"). Click the green plus symbol at the top menu bar to add your video file. Select "VOB" under the "Profile" menu. Click the red circle button in the menu to convert.

2. Install Format Factory (see the Resource link below) as an alternate program. Click on "All to VOB" under the "Video" tab in the main program. Add your video file and click "Start" in the main screen to begin converting.

3. Navigate to ConvertFiles (see the link in Resources) for an online option. Click on the "Browse..." button to select your video file and upload it to the site. Select "VOB" under "Output Format." Click "Convert," then click the link it creates to download your VOB file.
