How to Update ViewSat
Viewsat offers a range of products that let you enjoy free-to-air satellite channels. To keep your Viewsat up to date with the latest software to ensure your continued viewing pleasure, you will need to download and install the latest data files to a USB stick and then use the USB stick to upload the data to your Viewsat receiver. The process is simple and can be done quickly without need for technical prowess.
Instructions

1
Download the latest data files (known as .bin files) from a third part supplier (see "References"). Select "Desktop" for the destination of your download; this will make it easier to locate the file during the next step.
-
2
Insert the USB stick in to your computer's USB port. Copy the .bin file on to the USB stick. Remove the USB stick only once copying has been completed. Removing it to early risks corrupting the data and potentially the stick itself.

-
3
Turn off your Viewsat receiver before inserting the USB stick into the receiver's USB port.
-
4
Turn the receiver back on. Wait for the receiver to auto detect your USB stick. If the .bin file has been installed correctly on the USB stick, the receiver will automatically download the file and install it.
-
5
Wait for the install to complete and when prompted, remove the USB stick. Your Viewsat system has now been updated.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure that your USB stick has no files on it when you insert it into your computer or else the procedure will fail.
