Comcast Remote Programing Instructions

Use the code-search option on your Comcast remote to program it to your TV.

Remote controls can become deprogrammed, leaving you with a remote that doesn't work with your TV. When this happens, you need to program the code into the remote to work with your TV. Comcast remotes have a code-search option that automatically searches for the proper code for your TV instead of having to go through a codes list where you must rely on trial and error to find a working code.

Instructions

1. Turn on your TV. Press the "TV" button once, then hold down the "Setup" button until the "TV" button blinks twice.

2. Press "991" into the number pad of the remote control. The "TV" button blinks twice again. Aim the remote at the TV and alternate pressing the "Power" and "TV" button.

3. Stop pressing the "Power" and "TV" button when the TV turns off. This means the remote has found a working code. Press the "Setup" button to lock in the code. The TV is ready to use.
