How to Repair a Cooling Fan Relay in a 1994 Mazda Protege

The cooling fan relay in your 1994 Mazda Protege is responsible for keeping the power running to your cooling fan's motor.       Open the hood of your Mazda Protege and locate the relay compartment. It should be near the fuse box on the passenger side.

      Open the relay box by placing two side tabs in and pulling forward.

      Examine the inside lid of your Protoge's relay compartment. There will be a diagram that clearly marks the location of the fan relay.

      Remove the old fan of your Protege relay by pulling it out. Plug the new fan relay in its place. Replace the fuse compartment lid.
