How to Open a Brinks Home Safe
Having a Brinks home-safe installed in your home is a good way to protect important documents and valuables. Oppening the safe is a simple process if you have the proper passcode, or emergency override key. One of Brinks' more popular home safes was the model 5070. The Honeywell company is now the primary manufacturer of Brink's security products and has re-released the same safe as a model 2070. This safe is identical except for packaging. Passcode Entry

Enter the passcode onto the keypad of the safe, followed by pressing the "A" key.

Verify that the passcode was accepted by watching for a green light and listening for the lock to click open. If you see a red light, the passcode was entered incorrectly.

Grab the handle and open the door. The safe allows you 5 seconds to open the door before the lock automatically re-engages. You will need to enter the passcode again if this happens.
Emergency Override Key

Remove the cover beneath the keypad to access the key lock.

Insert the emergency key and turn the key to the left.

Pull the door handle to open the safe.

Tips & Warnings
If you enter the incorrect passcode too many times, the safe will lock out the proper passcode for several minutes.

I inserted the key but still does not open. When I enter the code both the green light and the red light illuminate and still does not open. Any suggestions I just bought this motor home with the safe in it.
