How to Scan Using the HP PSC 1315 & Mac OS X10.5

Save

If you want to scan a document or a photograph with your HP PSC 1315 with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, then you can use Image Capture. Image Capture is Apple's universal image capturing software that imports pictures from cameras or scanners. Once you've got the necessary drivers installed, you can use Image Capture for all of your scanning needs.

  • Make sure your scanner is connected to your Mac running OS X 10.5.

  • Click "Applications," then "Image Capture."

  • Turn it on. Put something into the scanner to scan. The device will automatically appear in Image Capture.

  • Choose one of the "Scan profiles" depending on what it is you are scanning.

  • Click "Scan" to begin scanning the document. This will be stored in your Pictures folder.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you can't install the scanner, then get the latest drivers from the HP website (see Resources).
