How to Enable & View the Java Console in a Mac
The Mac OS X operating system has support for Java applets built in. However, by default, the Java Console tool is disabled and hidden. With the Java Console, users can see and correct any errors with the applet they are running. Any user with administrative privileges can enable the Java Console. Once the tool is enabled, the Java Console will appear as a separate window the next time you launch a Web browser.
