The Viewsat 2000 is one of many FTA receivers available for home use. FTA, or free-to-air, allows you to view programming without actually signing up for a monthly service. These FTA receivers, including the Viewsat 2000, is updated through .bin files. These files are saved to a USB flash drive, which is than uploaded onto the Viewsat receiver through the built-in USB port.

Instructions

      Insert the USB flash drive into one of the USB ports on the computer.

      Download the Viewsat 2000 .bin files from the Viewsat download page (see link in Resources).

      Click the "Browse" option in the prompt window that loads onto the screen. Select the removable device and click "OK" to save the .bin files to the USB flash drive.

      Disconnect the flash drive from the computer, then plug it into the USB port on the Viewsat 2000. Power on the Viewsat 2000 and the .bin files update onto the receiver.
