How to Troubleshoot an Amana Electric Oven

Save

The Whirlpool Corporation manufactures a line of electric ovens under the brand name Amana. Various models offer different features and settings, but most problems that arise with an Amana electric oven can be identified and resolved in the same manner. Troubleshoot the oven to determine the cause of the problem and identify possible solutions. Most minor issues can be repaired at home. Consult a qualified service technician to repair or replace internal parts.

Nothing Operates

  • Ensure that the oven is plugged into a grounded electrical outlet.

  • Inspect the fuse or breaker box to determine if a fuse has blown or a breaker has been tripped. Replace blown fuses or reset tripped breakers.

  • Contact a qualified service technician. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, the oven may need to be serviced.
