How to Copy and Paste Keyboard Art

Copying and pasting is a basic computer command that all computers, be they Mac or PC, possess. When you copy an item on your computer, it is saved temporarily to the clipboard, where it will stay until you copy another item or restart your computer. Keyboard art--the art created from keyboard symbols--can easily be copied and pasted into emails, forums or other text documents.

Instructions

1. Select the keyboard art you wish to copy. Click the left mouse button and drag the highlight over the keyboard art.

2. Select “Copy” from the edit menu or right-click on the highlighted keyboard art and select “Copy.” You can also press “Command C.”

3. Click on the email, forum or text document you wish to paste the keyboard art into. Select “Paste” from the edit menu or right-click and select “Paste.” You can also press “Command V.”
