Instructions

    • 1

Set your circular saw blade to the same depth as one of your replacement boards by standing the saw on the board and loosening the depth bolt on the side.

    • 2

Pull back the blade guard on your blade, turn it on, then sink the blade into the plank and run the saw forward along its length.

    • 3

Repeat the process several times, with long intersecting lines, until chunks of the flooring start coming out from the middle of the board.

    • 4

Hollow out the middle of the board, then use your chisel and hammer to knock the side of the board inward, off the adjacent boards.

    • 5

Set your replacement board face down on a work bench. Use your razor knife to cut off the bottom part of the groove along the side of the board.

    • 6

Insert the time of the new board into the group the side of the board next to it, then drop the rest of the board into place.

    • 7

Shoot nails into the surface of the new board, putting pairs of them every foot or so, with your nail gun.

    • 8

Repeat the whole process for each board that must be replaced.
