How Do I Make a Bootable USB Flash Drive on Ghost Solution Suite 2.5?

Symantec's Ghost Solution Suite 2.5 offers users the ability to deploy files, hard drive image copies and even software to multiple computers at once. The software is designed for use in the corporate market, but many home users who have networks with multiple computers also benefit from the Ghost Solution Suite 2.5. One the key features of the software is the ability to create bootable USB flash drives and other media with a few simple clicks.

Instructions

1. Open the "Start" menu and click "All Programs," "Symantec Ghost" and "Symantec Ghost Boot Wizard."

2. Choose "Windows PE" when asked what type of boot disk to create and click "Next."

3. Select "Standard Ghost Boot Disk."

4. Click "Next" on the following two screens.

5. Select the Internet Protocol (IP) options to use for the boot disk. This information corresponds to the computer's current internet configuration. To access this information, press the "Windows" button and "R" on the keyboard, type "cmd" and enter "ipconfig /all" at the command prompt. Press "Next."

6. Select "USB Thumb Drive" as the destination drive.

7. Insert the USB flash drive and select it from the list of available devices in Ghost Solution Suite 2.5.

8. Press "Next" to initiate the boot disk creation process and wait for Ghost Solution Suite to finish creating the bootable USB flash drive.
