How to Send Duplicate Emails

How to Send Duplicate Emails thumbnail
Emails can be sent to multiple recipients.

Sending duplicate emails is easy for anyone who can send email. There are three different ways to send a duplicate email, two of which can be achieved while sending the original email. The three methods include addressing to multiple addresses simultaneously, copying on other recipients either conspicuously or without alerting the other email recipients or forwarding the email to another party. The procedures for all three are common to all email providers.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your email account and compose the message you wish to send. If you want to send the same email to more than one person and do not mind whether the recipients see who else receives the message, type multiple addresses into the space after "To." "To" is at the top of any email being composed and is the space in which an email address must be entered to be sent. Enter the email addresses of those to whom you wish to send the email, separating each address with a semicolon (;). If you cannot remember all the addresses, open your email address book and click on the names you wish to enter. The addresses will be formatted automatically.

Use the "Cc" (meaning "carbon copy") option at the top of your email or the "Bcc" (meaning "blind carbon copy") option. These sorts of duplicates are used when the email is intended for one person, but it is advisable to allow other people to read it. Type the email addresses into the Cc address bar at the top of your email. All the addresses are visible to the other recipients and to the person to whom the email is intended. To hide these email addresses and prevent recipients from knowing who else is receiving the message, use the Bcc option. Fill in the addresses as you would with the Cc option.

Use the "forward" function of your email account to send a duplicate email after the original has been sent. To accomplish this, go to the "sent mail" or "sent messages" option on your email account. Find the email and open it. Look for the "forward" option. It is located either at the top of your sent message or at the bottom. Click on "forward" and the message will open up. Type into the "To" address bar the email address of the person to whom you wish to send the duplicate message. Hit send.
