How to Clean Shower Doors With Vinegar

Save

Shower doors, just like any other part of your bathroom, need a day-to-day cleaning to remove buildup of soap, hard water and plain old dirt. For this job, using an all-natural tool such as vinegar works well. Most homes already have a bottle or two in cabinets, so no need to run to the store for expensive cleaning products. Moreover, since it contains no harsh chemicals, you don’t have to worry about it ruining your shower doors.

Things You'll Need

  • Spray bottle White distilled vinegar Clean cloth Bowl Plastic scrubber
  • Fill a spray bottle with vinegar and spray the inside of the shower door from top to bottom. Close the door and spray the front of the door. Wipe with a dry clean cloth.

  • Let the doors soak for 20 minutes to loosen the built-up soap and water deposits.

  • Turn the shower on, directing the water towards the door to rinse the vinegar off. You can do this part while taking a shower, too.

  • Pour a small amount of full-strength white distilled vinegar into a bowl. Dip a plastic scrubber in the vinegar and scrub the shower door from top to bottom. This will remove anything left on the door.

  • Rinse the door off with either a clean, wet cloth or water from the shower.

Tips & Warnings

  • Vinegar will also clean the mirror in your bathroom.
