The 2008 Suzuki Ozark has a 249cc four-stroke engine with a fuel injector. This is one of the smaller ATVs that Suzuki offers but still has the capabilities of working on the ranch or riding on the trails. You will change the oil almost the same way as in any other Suzuki model, but this ATV uses about half the amount of oil as the larger ATVs. This model also does not have an oil filter.
Things You'll Need
- Drain container
- 5/8-inch socket
- 2.5 qts. 5W40 four-stroke engine oil
Place the drain container under the center of the bottom of the engine. Make sure that the drain container is positioned under the metal nut in the center of the crankcase.
Remove the cap from the left side of the engine that says oil on the top of it. Remove the nut from the bottom of the engine using the ratchet and the socket. Drain the oil into the container and then replace the plug on the bottom of the engine.
Insert the funnel into the hole where you removed the cap. Pour 2.5 qts. of 5W40 oil into the crankcase and remove the funnel. Replace the cap on the engine and start the engine to circulate the fresh engine oil.
