How to Vacuum Out an Easy Set Pool

Save

Easy Set swimming pools are a less expensive version of an aboveground pool for those not wanting to go through the hassle of constructing a pool. Easy Set pools are cared for like normal swimming pools and require all the same maintenance, including vacuuming. Vacuuming is the process of removing debris and other contaminants from the pool. Vacuuming is achieved using equipment that comes with most Easy Set pools or with a water hose using the back siphon technique.

Things You'll Need

  • Vacuuming equipment
  • Water hose
  • Assemble your pool's vacuuming equipment. If no vacuuming equipment is available, get a water hose. Refer to the owner's manual for assembly instructions, as each type of vacuum is assembled differently.

  • Prime your vacuuming equipment according to the manufacturer's instructions. If no vacuuming equipment is available, back siphon using the garden hose. Turn on the hose, insert it into the pool, turn the water hose off and unscrew it from the spigot.

  • Run the vacuum or water hose slowly over the bottom of your pool until all debris is removed from the pool. If using a water hose, the process may take longer due to the poor suction of back siphoning.

  • Add water to your pool to replace any lost during vacuuming. Fill the pool to the previous water line.

Tips & Warnings

  • Turn the pool off before vacuuming to allow debris to settle onto the pool bottom for easier removal.
