How to Connect to an HP Wireless Printer With No Cable

Connect wirelessly with your HP printer using a wireless router.

Wireless connectivity allows multiple users to print on the same HP printer without using cables to make connections. Users who move around in the building using a notebook computer especially benefit from wireless connectivity. HP has outfitted all of its wireless printers with a setup wizard program that facilitates connecting the printer to a wireless network. You will need to know the name of your wireless network plus the password if you have enabled password protection.

Instructions

1. Press "Setup" on your printer's display screen. Use the arrows to scroll down, then select "Wireless Setup Wizard."

2. Select your network from the list displayed on the printer's screen. If your network does not show on the list, select "Enter New Network Name" and type in your network's name and press "Ok."

3. Type your network's security code, then select "Done" and "Ok."

4. Look for the screen to say "Connected to Network."
