2
Moisten a cotton ball with alcohol-free toner or makeup remover. Apply to the face and neck to even out the tone, or to make the self-tanner look more natural.

3
Apply a product that contains alpha hydroxy acid to exfoliate and eliminate blotches. Apply this product to the face and neck. Allow it to work over an evening, or for at least several hours.
Hands and Feet
-
4
Mix body hair bleach and apply it to stained palms or the soles of your feet. Leave it on for ten minutes, then wash it off.

5
Alternately, apply hydrogen peroxide once a day until the appearance of the self-tanner has diminished. Apply only to very small areas of your skin, in small amounts.
-
6
Apply car mechanic soap on the stains on your hands, and on callused areas like the soles of your feet, then rinse thoroughly. This is harsh soap designed to remove orange stains.
Knees, Elbows and Underarms

7
Moisten a sisal cloth or loofah with water in the shower. Gently scrub underarm area to remove dead skin cells and the self-tanner color.

Use the loofah on the knees and elbows, vigorously scrubbing these tougher areas, which can have a higher accumulation of self-tanner. Take care not to rub to the point of being red or raw.
-
9
Rinse thoroughly and moisturize your skin after using the loofah or sisal cloth.
Legs and Arms

10
Slather baby oil on your legs and arms and let it soak into your skin for thirty minutes.
