How to Clean Outdoor Plastic Furniture

Since the furniture is placed outdoors and intended to create a space for your family and guests to relax, keeping the furniture clean is a task that must be completed regularly.

• Hose
• Bucket
• Water
• Vinegar
• Dish soap
• Lubricant spray
• Cleaning rags
• Scrub brush

Instructions

1. Mix one gallon hot water, two cups vinegar and two tbsp. dish detergent in a cleaning bucket.

2. Run the hose over your plastic furniture to release loose buildup.

3. Swish a cleaning rag in the bucket and wipe it over your plastic outdoor furniture. The dish soap cuts through heavy buildup, while the vinegar disinfects and quickly removes any mildew growth.

4. Saturate a cleaning brush in the solution and rub over grooves and hard-to-reach areas of the plastic furniture.

5. Rinse the plastic furniture with your hose to wash away the cleaning solution.

6. Spray a light coat of WD-40 or a similar lubricant over any furniture that is faded or dull and wipe off with a dry cleaning rag. Allow the furniture to air out for three hours before using.
