How to Take an Amana Washer Apart
Amana washers require routine maintenance or the replacement parts that have worn out or failed such as the motor, pump or belt occasionally. Unplug the electrical cord of the Amana washer from the electrical outlet before attempting to take it apart.

Locate the two screws at the bottom of the front panel. Unfasten them with a screwdriver, setting the screws out of the way.

Lift the front panel up so it unhooks from the metal clips at the top. Set the panel off to the side.

Unfasten the screws underneath the top lid near the front with a screwdriver. Lift the top, flipping it back so it rests on the rear hinges against the wall.
