Things You'll Need

  • Dish detergent
  • Sponge
  • Bucket
  • Toothbrush
  • Glass bowl
  • White wine vinegar

      Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of hot water. Add 2 tbsp. of dish detergent.

      Soak a sponge in the cleaning solution. Scrub the dishwasher's interior walls and the inside of the door.

      Dip a toothbrush in the cleaning solution and clean around the frame of the door, hinges and any other hard-to-reach places.

      Add 1 cup of white vinegar to a heat-safe glass bowl, and place the bowl on the bottom rack of the dishwasher.

      Run the dishwasher on the hot rinse cycle. Do not run the dry cycle.

      Open the dishwasher door after the rinse cycle is complete and let the interior air-dry.
