How to Thread a Viking Scandinavia 200 Sewing Machine
Husqvarna sewing machines have been around since 1872 when the board of Husqvarna introduced its first sewing machine. Since that time, Husqvarna has been a leader in creating sewing machines. For new sewers, running a sewing machine is intimidating because of all the places for the thread to wind through. The wonderful thing about sewing machines is that once you know how to thread one, you can thread them all.
Instructions

1
Thread or wind the bobbin. The Viking 200 has an automatic bobbin threader, and the bobbin must be wound before threading the machine.
-
2
Turn the handwheel (on the right of the machine as you face it) toward you until the needle is in the highest position. Always turn the handwheel toward you.

3
Place the thread spool on the spindle. Your machine has a horizontal spindle and the thread is held on with a cap on the end.
-
4
Pull the thread to the left and through the first guide. The first guide looks like a small metal button you wind the thread around. Your machine has a number or an arrow guiding you to where the thread goes.
-
5
Pull the thread down through the first tension guide. The tension guide is a groove in the side of the sewing machine. Pull the thread down through this groove and pull the thread up through the next guide. Pull the thread around the hook (take-up lever) at the top of the next thread guide. Pull the thread through the hook and down again.
-
6
Thread the needle by pulling thread from front to back of the sewing needle.

Tips & Warnings
When placing thread spool into your machine, look for notch at the top of the thread. Place the end with the notch facing right to avoid thread catching in the notch when sewing.
