How to Remove PDANet

Save

One of the most commonly used features of modern cell phones is the ability to tether. To tether means to physically or wirelessly hook up a cell phone to a computer so that the computer can use the cell phone's Internet connection to access the Internet from anywhere the cell phone has service. Programs such as PDANet serve to make the tethering process easy. If you've installed PDANet and have decided that it doesn't meet your needs, then you may be looking to remove the program. Fortunately, removing the program is as simple as installing it.

  • Close PDANet if you currently have it running. Failure to do so can result in a corrupt uninstall process.

  • Click "Start > Settings > Control Panel" in Windows XP. Alternatively, click "Start > Control Panel" in Windows Vista/7.

  • Double-click "Add/Remove Programs" in Windows XP or click "Programs and Features" in Windows Vista/7.

  • Navigate down the list until you get to "PDANet." Select "PDANet."

  • Click "Change/Remove" in Windows XP or "Uninstall" in Windows Vista/7.

  • Click "Yes" when asked if you want to uninstall PDANet. Click "Next" to begin the uninstall process.

  • Click "Finish" to complete the removal of PDANet.

  • Click "Start > Shutdown > Restart." Upon rebooting, PDANet will be completely removed from your PC.
