How to Clean & Restore Leather Seats
Durable leather seats can stand up to pets, spills and plenty of wear. Unfortunately, leather can dry out and lose its luster over time. Clean and restore your leather seats with mild soap and leather conditioner. Keep leather out of direct sunlight and away from water to maintain its natural beauty. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Vacuum (with brush attachment)
- Mild hand soap
- Leather conditioner
- Soft cloths
- Bucket

Vacuum the leather seats with a brush attachment. Remove any cushions and vacuum underneath.

Fill a bucket with warm water and a small amount of mild soap. Dip a soft cloth in the soapy water and wring it out to remove any excess. Wipe the seats clean, working from the top down. Wipe the cushions and armrests as well.

Empty and refill the bucket with clean water. Rinse the seats with a wet cloth, rinsing it in the bucket as necessary. Wring the cloth out often to prevent water from pooling on the leather. Dry the leather quickly with a towel.

Apply a small amount of leather conditioner to a soft cloth. Rub it in circular motions, covering the entire leather surface. Allow the conditioner to sit and absorb for 30 minutes to two hours.

Wipe away any excess leather conditioner with a dry cloth.
