How to Reset the Warning Light on a 1999 Camry
The warning light on your 1999 Toyota Camry comes on when there is a problem with the vehicle's emissions control system. The emissions system tries to control the amount of exhaust contaminates that are expelled out of the exhaust. When there is a malfunction in the system, or a failure of one of the sensors, you need to fix this issue immediately. Open the hood on your 1999 Camry and loosen the nut that holds the negative battery cable clamp in place.

Slide the clamp off of the battery terminal.

Wait 15 minutes before reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.

Turn the ignition on and wait for the warning light to stop flashing. When it shuts off, the light will be reset.
