How to Make Paper Cars for Kids
Paper cars can be used to decorate a room or used as a toy for kids. Cars have always been a popular toy for children, and they can be a popular craft projects as well. Paper cars can be decorated with paints, markers, crayons or colored pencils to add color and design to the cars. Kids can get involved in the decorating process of the cars and choose their own designs and colors. Try making your own paper cars to decorate, play with and display.
Things You'll Need
- Heavy card stock
- Pencil
- Permanent marker
- Scissors
- Crayons (optional)
- Markers (optional)
- Paint (optional)
- Colored Pencils (optional)
Instructions

Draw a car onto heavy card stock with a pencil. Draw a rectangular shape for the body of the car, and a curved window and roof area.

Add taillights and headlights by drawing semicircular bumps on one end of the rectangular body.

Draw two wheels intersecting over the bottom line of the rectangular body, and erase the line that crosses through each wheel.

Trace over your pencil lines with a permanent marker.

Cut along the outside lines of the car shape with scissors to cut the car out.

Use crayons, markers, paint or colored pencils to add color and design to your car. Consider making a racing stripe down the side of the car or adding flames to the back fenders.
