Things You'll Need

  • DOS boot disk

Chkdsk

  • Insert the boot disk into the computer.

  • Restart the computer and press any key to boot into DOS.

  • Type "chkdsk x: /f" and press "Enter," replacing "x" with the drive letter containing the XML files to be restored.

  • Press "Y" if asked if you wish to repair the drive containing the XML files at system startup.

  • Reboot your computer.
