How to Cream-Clean Justin Cowboy Boots

Justin boots got their start back in 1879 when a boot repairman named H.J. Justin decided to go into business for himself. The company continued to grow because their boots were durable and of good quality. Justin cowboy boots are made out of leather. The best cleaning method is using a cream-based polish.

Things You'll Need

• Newspaper
• Soft bristle brush
• Cloths
• Leather conditioner
• Neutral cream-based polish

Instructions

1. Open a sheet of newspaper and set your boots on top of it or take them outside to be cleaned.

2. Brush any dirt and debris off of your Justin boots with a soft bristle brush. Hard bristles will damage the leather.

3. Use a small amount of leather conditioner on a cloth and wipe it on the boots. Apply a thin layer; the leather will not be able to absorb a large amount of conditioner.

4. Use another cloth to apply a cream-based polish. Again, you only need a thin layer.

5. Buff the Justin cowboy boots with a clean, dry cloth. Your boots will now have a "like new" look.

Tips & Warnings

• Wipe your Justin cowboy boots with a damp cloth in between cleanings.

• Do not use the cream-cleaning method on snakeskin boots. These boots are tanned differently. They only require a conditioner.
