Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the circuit breaker that powers the dryer. Place the dryer into position, but give yourself enough room to access the back of the dryer. If you have a gas dryer, make sure the gas is off at the line near the dryer hookup. Wrap sealant tape on the threads. Use a wrench to attach the gas line.

Attach the ductwork leading to the exhaust pipe to the back of the dryer. The dryer will have an exhaust port specifically for this purpose. Use a screwdriver to tighten the band around the exhaust port.

    • 3

Attach the ductwork to the wall-mounted exhaust pipe. Use the screwdriver to tighten this connection.

    • 4

Plug the dryer's cord into the electrical outlet. Turn the power back on. If you have a gas dryer, turn the gas back on. Test the dryer to make sure it works.

    • 5

Push the dryer into its final position. Place the level on top of the dryer. Adjust the dryer's feet until it is perfectly level.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check behind the dryer once you have it in its final place to make sure the exhaust duct work isn't pinched.

  • Make sure the dryer is perfectly level or else it will not function properly. Periodically check to make sure it remains level.
