How to Erase Memory for Tetris in a Nintendo DS

How to Erase Memory for Tetris in a Nintendo DS thumbnail
Tetris on the Nintendo DS can be played almost anywhere.

Since its creation in 1984, the Tetris series has appeared on game consoles, cell phones and even the sides of buildings. One of the most popular versions of Tetris is the handheld Nintendo DS version. This version included puzzle and challenge modes that could be progressed through like a story mode. If you want to start these modes over from the beginning (and reset all your high scores), you can erase the game's memory.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the DS system and tap the Tetris game icon (which is shaped like a big T) on the DS main menu to start the game.

    • 2

Immediately press and hold the left shoulder button, left directional button on the control pad and the "select" button for two seconds. This will not work if you press it after the Nintendo logo is displayed, so it is important to press these buttons as soon as the game starts loading. If you wait too long, restart the game and try again.

    • 3

Wait for the game to load and then select your mode of play. You can tap any mode you want to play. Each mode should be reset to Level 1.

Tips & Warnings

  • Certain unlocked elements of the game will be locked once you delete your save data, so make sure you don't mind losing these.
