How to Remove a Wiper Arm on a Venture

The wiper arm on a Chevy Venture holds the wiper blade assembly in place and applies pressure to the wiper blade. If this component fails, your wiper system will not work. It's rare for wiper arms on the Venture to fail. The most common cause of failure is a failure of the spring in the base of the arm, which applies pressure to the blade assembly. If the wiper arms on your Venture do fail, you can replace them by special ordering a replacement wiper arm from auto parts stores or from a Chevy dealership.

Things You'll Need

• Replacement wiper arm
• Pliers

Instructions

1. Pull the wiper arm away from the windshield until the arm locks into a vertical position.

2. Locate the small lever at the base of the wiper arm assembly where the wiper arm connects to the wiper linkage.

3. Pull the lever out using a pair of needle nosed pliers.

4. Pull the wiper arm off of the wiper linkage.
